Angela’s Journey

Photography has always been my anchor, providing clarity and purpose. When I realized that a 4-year traditional college experience wasn’t for me, I sought a path where my creativity could flourish. My search led me to The Art Institute of Dallas, where I fell in love with the intricate art of set design, styling, and lighting techniques. It was then that I knew fashion photography was my calling.

In 2017, I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Photography. As a photographer in the DFW area, I’ve focused on capturing the genuine experiences of marginalized and overlooked communities. My mission has always been clear: to use photography as a tool for representation and inclusion.

Since then, my work has been published and recognized in Voyage Dallas as a young artist on the rise. In March 2020, I debuted my first solo exhibition, Color Me: Then & Now, to showcase my matriculation from college into a full-time photographer. Through my photography, I strive to bring representation to an industry that often overlooks the richness of these communities.
